I follow Jesus Christ because the Lord wants us to obey His word, to believe in it, and to follow it.

In the beginning of the Gospel of John, we read, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." (John, chapter 1, verses 1-4)

John chapter 1 verse 14 says: "The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

One of the sins that people commit, and perhaps do not take seriously, is that they do not believe in the Word of God. The Word of God is not separate from Him. The Word of God is God's heart, God's thought; thus, He is called the living God; meaning that God is a God who speaks, hears, sees, a God who loves and acts. A God who has justice and judges, rewards, or punishes.

So, it is impossible to believe in God and not believe in His Word.
Since Jesus is the Word of God, (Revelation 19:13) possesses divine nature, (Philippians 2:6) and is the expression of His essence, (Colossians 1:15), it would be an insult to God if we say we believe in God but do not believe in Jesus Christ, who is His Word (John 3:36).

I follow Jesus Christ because I believe in God and in His Word, which was embodied in Christ.
