The darkness, which like chains of steel had bound this world and our hearts, has been broken and destroyed by this Light, like fragile, decaying threads.
Today we celebrate the revelation of God among humanity. Today is the day we recognize that the hope of the world has come into the world. Today we affirm that the Light of the World entered this world.
Today we celebrate the incarnation of divinity among humanity, for the Word of God says: “In Christ, the fullness of God dwelled in bodily form.” Jesus Christ, the Word of God, became flesh and entered the world.
Today, we can confidently proclaim “Emmanuel,” meaning “God is with us” and not against us. God loves us and shows us His boundless love.
