The Gospel Changed?

The Gospel Changed?

Many claim the Gospels is corrupted without reading it. But does this align with historical evidence, logic, or even the Quran’s teachings?

Transcript:

This friend of ours has written that the Bible has been corrupted and that Jesus never said anywhere in the Bible, “I am God” or “I am His Son.” It’s difficult to accept such a claim, dear brother, but there are two important points to consider:

First, the claim that the Bible has been corrupted is just that—a claim. How do you know the Bible is corrupted? Have you read it? I don’t think so. So how can you be certain it’s been altered? If you insist it has been corrupted, then you are, in fact, contradicting the Quran and rejecting its words, even though you believe in it.

For example, what does Surah 6, Ayah 34 say? It says: “وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ” — “No one can change the words of Allah” or “The word of God cannot be altered.” If you accept this verse, then isn’t the Bible also the word of God? You believe in four holy books, and the Bible is one of them. So how can you, in contradiction to the Quran, claim that the Bible has been corrupted?

Second, regarding the claim that Jesus never called Himself the Son of God—if you read the Holy Bible yourself, especially the Gospel of John, you will see that Jesus repeatedly identifies Himself as the Son of God.

For example, in John 10:30, Jesus says, “I and the Father are one.” He consistently refers to God as “Father.” When He prays, He speaks directly to God, calling Him “Father.” Therefore, Jesus clearly identified Himself as the Son of God.

I encourage you not to simply repeat the claims of others but to read the Holy Bible for yourself and see the truth firsthand. I know these arguments have been repeated thousands of times, and they have been answered thousands of times.

I hope that instead of echoing the words of others, you will seek the truth for yourself. When you read the Word of God, the truth will become clear and evident to you.

May you remain in the grace and blessing of the Lord.
Thank you for asking this important question.
