Prayer to Know God Better

O Lord, my merciful God,

I pray that I may know You better.

Holy and almighty Lord,

You who dwell in light, and light is but a symbol of Your being,

I plead that You illuminate my heart and mind with Your holy light,

so that the light of your knowledge becomes the source of my life and joy.

In the name of Jesus Christ,
