A leper begs Jesus for healing, who, touched by compassion, cures him but asks him not to tell anyone.
Calling the Disciples

After His baptism, Jesus is tested by satan for forty days. He then calls his disciples to himself.
Jesus Preaching
Mark 1:35-39
Jesus rises early to pray. He invites his disciples to join him as he preaches, casting out demons.

John the Baptist announces that people must repent and be baptized. He baptizes people in the Jordan River.

Jesus heals Simon's mother-in-law, heals many sick and possessed, and casts out demons.
